my little kitty

I came home from my session yesterday with this little prince to the most adorable little kitty cat. She was so proud of her “makeup” and told everyone we saw last night at dinner that she was not Catwoman (as her Batman obsessed older brother tried to convince her to be) but a nice kitty cat. I loved your “makeup” too, sweet Madeleine, and think you make the most beautiful nice kitty that ever was.

Nine hundred & thirty-three pieces,

several weeks and lots of hard work later, and we have a castle! A really cool castle. I am so proud of my boys for all their perseverance and patience and look forward to the duels that will surely ensue. Let the castle fun begin!

Christmas break

We have so much fun planned over the next couple of weeks. I can hardly stand it, and I couldn’t think of a better pair to spend it with than these two angels. Christmas fun, here. we. come!

Smurf’d

Sweet Baby M had so much fun digging into her first birthday cake at the end of our session together, and boy did we have a good laugh over the blue little smurf that she became…

And those weren’t the only laughs we shared this beautiful September evening (yes, I’m just now getting to my fall sessions!). There is such an ease and effortlessness about your love for each other, N family, and you are so much fun to be around! Thank you for trusting me to capture these precious moments in your family’s journey through life.

the hottest day of the year

We met early to try to escape the oppressive summer heat that Dallas was so lucky to enjoy this year, but it was still hot. hot. hot. The “take your breath away” kind of hot. But despite how hot it was that day, we had fun and captured some wonderful images for the S family to cherish forever…of their family while their three littles were still little, with chubby baby cheeks, cars hidden in their pockets and fairies dancing in their sweet imaginations.

the busy little bee

Miss. G was busy, busy, busy at our Mini Session this past weekend, as any inquisitive toddler would be! She was so excited to explore her new surroundings and had the cutest giggle as she had me chasing her all around the park. At one point, she paused and I captured that adorable doll-face of hers as she looked right at me. I smiled at her and said, “I got you sweet Miss. G,” to which she just burst out laughing. Oh, you gotta just love a sense of humor like that! 🙂

  1. Elizabeth Godyn says: Our Miss G sure was a busy girl at our shoot and when we left i said to my husband "if she got one picture from that shoot I will be amazed"! How wrong I was... you blew us away. We were just hoping for a decent Christmas photo and instead got a beautifully shot story of our family --sans Charlie our dog of course who wasn't havin it that day. I believe it was your warmth that set the tone for our shoot so thank you for making us feel welcomed and comfortable. We can't wait for you to photograph our newest family member arriving in January. Again,Thank you for your patience and professionalism. on 10.8.11 @ 11:36 pm

happy feet

When the mother of these adorable children filled out my session questionnaire for their upcoming Mini-Session with me, she wrote the sweetest most detailed things about each one of her four children. Her thoughtful words were such a testament to how she treasures each one of them for what makes them uniquely “them.” She told me that she just wanted to “capture the kids having fun together and their sweet spirits…and if there’s time, I’d love to have a shot of all of their feet.” Are you kidding?!? Of course!

We will treasure these pictures for many many years to come. And you gotta love those little feet! :) Thank you! on 10.6.11 @ 7:58 pm

Oh how this one . . .

from my session with these two cuties yesterday is making me miss my own little sister. May you two grow to always treasure each other and to be the best of friends!

the “fun” session

If I had to describe this session in one word, it would be “FUN!” Mr. G was such a fun little guy, and we had a great time together playing games and exploring during our session. And I loved it that his parents were up for anything! They certainly contributed to the “fun factor” too!

We started our session off in a funky urban area of Dallas for plenty of color and texture.

And then we headed over to a nearby field for some family snuggles, tickles and more two-year-old exploration.

And if my calculations are correct, Mr. G should be a big brother very soon! What fun the newest little M is in for! 🙂
