The Big Day is upon us. Don’t forget to vote! And just in case you are still looking for a candidate, I know a pretty cute one who would love your vote. His platform includes universal naps for everyone, pacifiers forever and lots of trips to the park. May the best baby win!

Who’s ready for a good surprise?! Not one of these crazy “October Surprises” this insane election cycle has been throwing our way, but a good and happy surprise? Well…I’m opening my schedule for some last minute mini-sessions this Sunday, November 6th at a beautiful natural location in Dallas. I have just a couple of slots left. Fill out THIS FORM to snag one for your family! All digital files and products will be delivered to you in plenty of time for Holiday cards and gifts!
Now…that’s better than some crazy political scandal, right?!?
How much fun can a little toy car be? Well, pretty fun, if you ask sweet baby blue eyes…
And a few of my sweet assistant, who just adores his little “mini me” and almost always indulges his crazy mamma’s obsession with photography.
Ok, back to editing our family photos from 2012. Hoping to catch up sometime in the next decade!
So last year, this sweet family and I planned to have our session in the Arts District downtown, and it was just not meant to be. You might remember how we had to make a last minute detour due to some unscheduled events in our planned meeting spot. So this year, we were determined to make our original plan work, and after a reschedule (for yet another unplanned event!), we finally were able to make it happen. Our time together is always wonderful, but I’m so glad that we finally got our Arts District session. Some things are just simply worth the wait.
Miss. L is almost *exactly* one year older than my little girl, and it is such a delight to be with her and see what my sweet pea will be doing this time next year. And as you can see, Miss. L is not only a beautiful child (a given with such attractive parents!), but she has the most vibrant, fun personality. I’m so glad we let her loose to splash and roll in the water at the end of our session. I just love her jest for life!
As she was gleefully running through (and rolling in!) the water, she turned to me and with the most enthusiastic little voice and said, “this is the drippiest photo session I have EVER been to!” Best quote of the night, hands down!
And you have no idea just how *drippy* she got.
What a great evening we had at my first round of Holiday Mini-Sessions this year! Beautiful weather, two beautiful families, lots of giggles and fun — what more could we ask for?! Be watching your mailboxes — your CD and prints will be there soon!
My children *love* dressing up. Any day, all day, for any reason, so Halloween is naturally a fun-filled event at our house each year, and this year was certainly no exception! But it was a bitter-sweet year for mamma for sure, because this will most likely mark the last year that I’m able to have a big say in their costumes. Well, at least, *his* costumes. He’s six, you see, and six year olds would much rather be warewolfs than “big bad wolfs” (yes, that’s what he told his friends at school), so I’m pretty sure that this mamma’s Halloween, outfit coordinating, picture taking days might officially be over. Sniff, sniff. ;(
Dreamy light, a fun set of twins and an adorable baby…all in all, I’d say it was a great night. You’ve got three special kiddos, C Family! And those twins, they’ve got an extra special connection for sure. May you two continue to be the best of friends!
Grandmothers are special. They just are. Their kisses, hugs and certainly their treats are extra special. And everyone knows there is a soft spot in every grandmother’s heart for her grandchildren. Nothing delights either of mine more than some time to be spoiled by either of their grandmas. So when the C Family wanted to include their boys’ Nai Nai in their session, well, I just knew it would be special. She clearly adores those boys, and what a wonderful thing to document for them. I know they will look back at these photos in years to come and be reminded of just how much she loves them, and that certainly is a special thing.
