Cards, cards, cards!

I absolutely LOVE Christmas cards. I love getting them in the mail, designing them, and I even love addressing mine and getting them out the door. And this year, it was even more exciting to open the mail and receive cards that I had put together for some of my friends. A special thanks to all of the families who helped me build my portfolio this fall — I feel so honored to have been a part of your lives. So here is a little slideshow with my cards from 2010 — just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share them all with you!

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Happy Halloween!

I think we may have the cutest (and most fun!) block in Dallas, just look at these adorable little “spookers!”

We had such a great time continuing our tradition of hanging out with all of you Halloween night! Your kids are precious and you parents are such fun! Thanks everyone for coming over and celebrating with us. We feel blessed to have such great neighbors!

Family Fun at the Texas State Fair!

Little Miss M had a birthday this past week, and we decided to celebrate as a family at the Texas State Fair. We had so much fun that we are officially declaring it an annual tradition!
Where else can you go to see an enormous “talking cowboy” (Big Tex was Miss M’s favorite part), eat artery clogging fried food, cotton candy that is bigger than your head and ride fantastically fun rides?!? We seriously had such a ball — what a great family outing!

And perhaps my favorite picture of the night — I love it that you can just feel the childlike joy from this one — he was having so much fun.

Meet the D’s

Meet the D Family…

And their adorable children…

Who have adorable personalities! Little Miss M wore her big girl ballet shoes to our session, and boy did she use them! I don’t think we asked her to dance once, but as you can see, she just couldn’t help herself. And little brother D, well, he just wanted to watch the cars and big trucks go by.  After all, what two-year-old little boy doesn’t?!?

Ds, you were awesome! Thanks for being willing to try something new — I hope you like your urban shots as much as I do!

The L Family

I had the pleasure of photographing my dear friends, the L Family, yesterday. The eldest L boy is one of my son’s favorite buddies, and I jokingly call the youngest L boy my little boyfriend, because he gives me the cutest and flirtiest looks every time I see him! I’m sure he flirts with everyone, but I must say if my heart wasn’t already taken by my own little guy, this sweet boy might steal it! Just take a look at him, can’t you just see the future heartbreaker…

But back to the whole family… You guys were so fun to be with and totally rocked your session. I’m having such a hard time narrowing your gallery down! Here’s your teaser — can’t wait to send you the whole set!

Newborn Love

I love being with families who have just welcomed new life. I love the serenity, the way the outside world just melts away and the love and wonder that abounds. I mean, look at this little doll — how could you not be totally smitten? N Family, I enjoyed spending time with you last weekend. Thanks for your willingness to try everything, even the gigantic flower on Baby M’s head.  I must say, I kinda like it!  Your growing family is precious!

Hope there are some pictures without the flower headbands? ( b/c I want to see all of her) Great job. You should do well in this line of work. You have the personality to work with people. Good Luck. The S Family

The S Family met me last Saturday at the Dallas Arboretum, and what troopers they were! We had an awesome session despite the oppresive heat and humidity. It was perhaps the muggiest day in Dallas history, but that didn’t stop the Ss! Baby O was an absolute dream. I don’t think we heard one unhappy sound from her — what a doll! And Big Girl A’s bubbly personality was so much fun! You guys did an awesome job. Here is your sneak peak — can’t wait to show you your full set of proofs!
