These cute little guys were so excited to give their mommy the flowers I brought along for our Saturday morning session. It was so sweet to see their excitement. They adore her, and for good reason — she’s a fantastic mom. I’m so glad to have been able to help you capture that T family!
And they are pretty crazy about each other (and dad too!). Oh, and do I even need to mention mom’s shoes!? Fabulous!
The sweet family I was scheduled to shoot this past weekend had to cancel because their little one was sick (we hope you’re all better now, Miss. L!), which turned out to be a huge blessing, because I was able to fit in our family Christmas card shoot! Sorry to spoil it for those of you who get a card from us, but I couldn’t resist sharing just a little. We ventured to one of my favorite spots in Dallas to watch the sun set and came away with this…
I won’t share any others that found their way on our Christmas card, but here are some of the “rejects” that can hardly be called that…
And my favorite of the night — I was having a hard time getting my daughter to give me any eye contact at all, so I handed my camera to my husband and I tried to get some smiles out of her without the camera plastered to my face. I love knowing that she was smiling so big at me. I love you, sweet baby girl!
Big brother J had a little bit of a hard time getting started at our early Saturday morning session. It was so sweet to see his family trying to help him cheer up. Dad even broke out the Michael Jackson dancing (and yes, I’m still laughing and only wish I had a video)!
But after a little break, some sugar, and of course the dancing by Dad, things started to look up.
And I must say, I do think we had a very strong finish, S Family! You guys did a great job. Can’t wait to show you all of your proofs!
I think we may have the cutest (and most fun!) block in Dallas, just look at these adorable little “spookers!”
We had such a great time continuing our tradition of hanging out with all of you Halloween night! Your kids are precious and you parents are such fun! Thanks everyone for coming over and celebrating with us. We feel blessed to have such great neighbors!
If I had to sum up my session with the B Family in one (OK, two) pictures it would be this:
We spent a lot of time keeping up with busy Miss C! But despite her unquenchable curiosity and need to move, I think we just may have captured a “keeper…”
Bs, your girls are beautiful and your love is contagious! Can’t wait to show you the rest of your session, especially the bubble shots!

I had the pleasure of photographing my dear friends, the L Family, yesterday. The eldest L boy is one of my son’s favorite buddies, and I jokingly call the youngest L boy my little boyfriend, because he gives me the cutest and flirtiest looks every time I see him! I’m sure he flirts with everyone, but I must say if my heart wasn’t already taken by my own little guy, this sweet boy might steal it! Just take a look at him, can’t you just see the future heartbreaker…
But back to the whole family… You guys were so fun to be with and totally rocked your session. I’m having such a hard time narrowing your gallery down! Here’s your teaser — can’t wait to send you the whole set!
I love being with families who have just welcomed new life. I love the serenity, the way the outside world just melts away and the love and wonder that abounds. I mean, look at this little doll — how could you not be totally smitten? N Family, I enjoyed spending time with you last weekend. Thanks for your willingness to try everything, even the gigantic flower on Baby M’s head. I must say, I kinda like it! Your growing family is precious!
