Vintage Trains

I have officially found my favorite spot to photograph boys (at least for the moment)! Just look at this setting…it totally captures what it is to be boy.

We explored up and down the tracks, found some great rusty rail parts and had a great time watching the real vintage train go by! Thanks H Family for making the trek out to the train yard with me. I’m so glad we did and hope you are too! I just love these of your boys!

Mr. Maturity

Meet Mr. A, perhaps the most mature two-and-a-half year old I’ve ever met. He carried on conversations with me like he was ten. What a delight this special little man was to be with!

And look at how much he adores his mom and dad. C Family, it was great to get to know you and help you capture the precious stage your family is in. Happy Thanksgiving!

Cars, Trains, Flowers and a . . .

singing billygoat named Esmerelda!? Yep, that’s what this session was made of. Oh, and the promise of Yogurt Land! We were pulling out all the stops to get Little B to smile, although I don’t think any of our efforts resulted in the priceless expression you will see below. No, we turned around and Little B was proudly teetering on the edge of a stone ledge — so glad mom let me snap a few frames before she helped him to safer ground — precious!

L’s, you guys rocked your session! I’ll be in touch with your full gallery soon!

and then there are sisters who are best friends. I don’t think I have to tell you which category these two little lovelies fall into. My own sister and I had an extra special bond like these two when we were little. May you always be best friends Miss. M & C!

And let’s not leave little brother out — he’s pretty cute and fun too!

Sweetness. . .

These cute little guys were so excited to give their mommy the flowers I brought along for our Saturday morning session. It was so sweet to see their excitement. They adore her, and for good reason — she’s a fantastic mom. I’m so glad to have been able to help you capture that T family!

And they are pretty crazy about each other (and dad too!). Oh, and do I even need to mention mom’s shoes!? Fabulous!

Spoiler Alert!

The sweet family I was scheduled to shoot this past weekend had to cancel because their little one was sick (we hope you’re all better now, Miss. L!), which turned out to be a huge blessing, because I was able to fit in our family Christmas card shoot! Sorry to spoil it for those of you who get a card from us, but I couldn’t resist sharing just a little. We ventured to one of my favorite spots in Dallas to watch the sun set and came away with this…

I won’t share any others that found their way on our Christmas card, but here are some of the “rejects” that can hardly be called that…

And my favorite of the night — I was having a hard time getting my daughter to give me any eye contact at all, so I handed my camera to my husband and I tried to get some smiles out of her without the camera plastered to my face. I love knowing that she was smiling so big at me. I love you, sweet baby girl!

The S Family

Big brother J had a little bit of a hard time getting started at our early Saturday morning session. It was so sweet to see his family trying to help him cheer up. Dad even broke out the Michael Jackson dancing (and yes, I’m still laughing and only wish I had a video)!

But after a little break, some sugar, and of course the dancing by Dad, things started to look up.

And I must say, I do think we had a very strong finish, S Family! You guys did a great job. Can’t wait to show you all of your proofs!

Happy Halloween!

I think we may have the cutest (and most fun!) block in Dallas, just look at these adorable little “spookers!”

We had such a great time continuing our tradition of hanging out with all of you Halloween night! Your kids are precious and you parents are such fun! Thanks everyone for coming over and celebrating with us. We feel blessed to have such great neighbors!
